Peg Tileston

Peg arrived in Alaska in 1972 and soon became involved in public policy issues. Since that time, she has been a volunteer, staff, and board member of the Alaska Center for the Environment. She helped found Trustees for Alaska in 1974, Alaska Conservation Foundation in 1980, and Alaska Common Ground in 1991. Peg served on the Alaska Water Resources Board from 1976 to 1991 and the Chugach Electric Association from 1981 to 1991. She has been on the board of Alaska Common Ground since it was started.
