Recycling Where and What to Recycle – Overview of recycling facilities in Anchorage

Materials Recovery Facility – The MRF is open for the summer again! Located across the street from the Central Transfer Station on 56th Avenue in midtown in between Old Seward and Homer Drive at the Materials Recovery Facility. ​Accepts #1,2, and 5 plastics, wood waste, and organic waste.

Hours: ​​Monday through Saturday from May 1 to October 31 – 8:30am to 3:30pm. CLOSED on Sunday. Fees apply.
