2024 Year in Review – ACG hosted a range of public forums and events, including:

Renewable Energy Updates (March 26) – Mid-session legislative briefing with Senators Tobin and Wielechowski, and REAP’s Chris Rose. Several bills discussed have since become law.

The Future of the PFD (April 11) – An overview of Permanent Fund options moderated by economists and policy experts.

Annual Meeting & Education Forum (May 9) – Focused on public education funding with Senator Tobin.

Alaskans for Fair Courts (Sept 17) – A look at Alaska’s nationally respected judicial system.

Ballot Measure 2 Forum (Oct 20) – A debate on repealing Ranked Choice Voting. The measure ultimately failed.
Looking Ahead – Join us January 7, 2025 for a public forum on modernizing the Alaska Permanent Fund. Co-hosted with Institute of the North, this free event will feature APFC’s Deven Mitchell, Senator Bert Stedman, and others.
Civic Engagement Tools – ACG provides a step-by-step guide to help Alaskans engage with legislators and track bills in the 2025 session. Public input remains a powerful tool.
Member Highlight – We celebrate longtime member and economist Gunnar Knapp for his enduring leadership on fiscal issues and civic engagement.
