Energy and Climate
We do this by hosting a variety of discussions related to Alaska’s rapidly changing climate and unique energy challenges and opportunities, always seeking to encourage engagement in policy dialogues around these issues.
Previous events have explored problems and solutions to climate-related challenges, community engagement with Anchorage’s Climate Action Plan, as well as helping Alaskans understand and follow renewable energy related legislation. We have created several resource pages with suggestions of ways to engage as well as local and national organizations and references for you to use to explore these topics further.
Alaska Common Ground hosts events on these topics in order to better engage in working together towards achieving emissions reductions and improving community resilience. We feel it is essential that we, as citizens, must engage to address this global crisis on a local level. Moving forward, we will continue to focus on opportunities to learn about and engage in energy and climate issues and potential solutions.
