Alaska Common Ground’s vision is an engaged Alaskan Democracy, and to that end we are committed to hosting events connecting Alaskans to our democratic processes. Over our 30+ years, this has included informative and balanced discussions of state ballot initiatives, election processes, and more.

Democracy is more than just voting. It means being informed on issues and candidates, understanding various policy perspectives, and engaging in our governmental processes and systems.

At the end of the day, all of our programming seeks to help Alaskans be better citizens of our democracy, and we believe that opportunities to hear from varied perspectives in respectful, thoughtful, and non-polarizing conversations is as crucial to our state now as it was when we were founded over 30 years ago.
