Shaping Alaska’s Energy Future: How Alaskans Can Meet Their Energy Needs and Tackle Climate Challenge
Dr. Katharine Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist at Texas Tech who studies what climate change means for people and the natural environment, and helps communities adapt. She talks about climate change in an accessible and respectful way with a wide variety of audiences, especially those who have questions about climate change and people of faith. In 2019 she visited Alaska and spoke at multiple events in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau.
On September 11, 2019 she spoke at an event at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium at UAA hosted by The Wilderness Society, Alaska Climate Action Network, UAA/APU Books of the Year, ChangePoint, Faith Christian Community, and Alaska Common Ground.
